Road Bike Better Than Hybrid
Over the course of 100 miles being in a more purposeful position reducing wind drag can lead to a much easier ride and faster time.
Road bike better than hybrid. A road bike will have less comfortable ride position which is more suitable for long and fast ride than for a mere commuting. Some parts are harder to replace and are more expensive on a road bike. The primary differences between a hybrid and mountain bike are that a hybrid bike has a more lightweight and aerodynamic frame thinner smooth tires use rim instead of disc brakes and generally do not have suspension. The handlebars on a hybrid are typically flat like a mountain bike and go straight out from the stem.
The seating position on a hybrid is more upright than even a sportive type road bike which will have a more relaxed upright position than say a time trial bike. A road bike is much more complicated and expensive machine. As an owner of hybrid and road bike this is what i feel about hybrid superiority. With a wider grip usually about shoulder width these handlebars allow riders to sit upright and offer a better position for vision and control of the bike than the handlebars on a road bike.
The saddle is designed in such a way that it is harder and narrower and this is to ensure that your weight is equally distributed between the bike pedals and its handlebars. Wide hybrid tires with a pronounced tread roll slower than typical 700x23c or 25c road tires so you ll gain some speed there. For these reasons hybrid bikes are better suited to the road gravel or dirt paths than rugged off roading.
